Its very important to get the right collar for a sled dog. A normal collar is not good enough to stop the dog from getting free.
We only use alaskan semi slip collars. Both for walking and for running in harness.
We do not use a walking harness with any of our dogs as these two can be escaped from if the dog decides to back out of it.
Alaskan semi-slip collars are the only collar that is 100% husky proof if put on and used properly.
