Brent Sass lead the way for the majority of this stripped down version of the Yukon Quest to take an easy win for him and his dog team.
In second place was Matt Hall who also had a great run.
This years Yukon Quest has been split into four races. The usual route from Canada to Alaska has been changed so no musher will cross from country to country. This is due to remnants of the Covid pandemic remaining.
Third place went to Deke Naaktgeboren and fourth was Jennifer Labarr, who also took the Red Lantern from a very slimmed down entry list.
Rob Cook of Shaytaan Siberians was forced to scratch will less than half the race completed.
Brent will now go on to compete in the Yukon Quest 300 in Whitehorse on the 19th February 2022 before heading out to Anchorage in March for the start of the 50th anniversary of the Iditarod.
