Help Connor McMahon Finish What He Started: Support a Canadian Musher’s Dream
Connor McMahon, a passionate musher from Southern Ontario, discovered a love for working dogs at the age of 15.
Managing a kennel of security dogs, his passion and respect for these incredible animals were born.
Through this work, he learned the importance of proper training and keeping dogs happy.
This early experience taught him how to instill confidence in dogs using positive reinforcement training.
During this time, Connor learned the significance of being truly present with the dogs and carefully observing them in their environment.
This taught him to respect and value their companionship, their purpose, and their inner drive.
He began to see the world through their eyes and understand how they relate to their surroundings.
One day, Connor came across an Alaskan Malamute named “Chumie”.
Chumie was deemed aggressive and was going to be put down by his owner.
Connor knew that poor Chumie was just in the wrong environment and was missing something in his life.
Connor stepped up and offered him a job.
He built his first sled out of some old skis and scrap wood, and Chumie became his lead dog (also his only dog at the time, but it made him feel important).
From that day on, his one-dog team and he were hooked on sledding.
His dreams were born, and his goals were set!
Today, Connor has a yard of 30 Alaskan Huskies, and they are all excited to enter the biggest races in the world.
Chumie is their biggest fan and joins them on fun excursions.
Connor and his team live, train, and educate humans at Caribou Crossing Trading Post, a fun-filled tourist destination located in Carcross, Yukon.
An important aspect for any athlete is to be able to train year-round, and by offering cart rides to guests at Caribou Crossing during the summer months, Connor’s team stays in tip-top shape!
Supporting Team Feral Racing
Without the help of sponsors, Connor and his team wouldn’t be able to participate in competitive sled dog races.
They hope to provide enough incentive for individuals and companies to sponsor Feral Racing through various sponsorship packages.
Opportunities range from $10 to $10,000.
Share the Ride Program
Through the “Share the Ride” program, you can sponsor one of Connor’s four-legged athletes.
The team is ready to meet the challenges of the upcoming race season, but they need your help to join Team Feral.
The dogs burn a lot of calories and need high-protein food.
They also need booties to keep their feet healthy.
Through your sponsorship, you become part of the Feral Racing family.
Dog Bootie Sponsorships
Connor and his team strive to treat their dogs with the highest level of respect and care that they deserve.
The dogs truly are their family.
This means that almost every mile run during training and racing, the dogs wear booties.
In one winter season, they will go through up to 5000 booties.
– $50 will provide 25 pairs of booties
– $100 will provide 50 pairs of booties
– $200 will provide 100 pairs of booties
Lead Dog Sponsorship Package – $4000 USD

Personal Donations
Connor and his team not only rely on companies to sponsor Team Feral; they have many individual supporters who help with smaller donations throughout the season.
They fully appreciate that some people have less disposable income than others, so they are very grateful when they receive smaller donations from individuals.
There is no minimum donation amount. Donate as little as $1.
Every dollar makes a difference to the kennel and the dogs.
