Lance Mackey, winner of 4 consecutive Iditarods, tested positive for drugs after finishing in 21st place in the 2020 race.
Lance, was disqualified and since then has apologised to friends, family and fans.
He is now trying to recover from his addiction and needs help.
Lance has admitted taking drugs to struggling with personal problems.
He is a humble person and is too proud to ask for help. He desperately needs the treatment but it is costly and therefore his family has set up a GoFundMe page in order to pay for the treatment that Lance so desperately wants.
He at Northernwolf, we have followed Lance Mackey throughout his career and share the same passion for our sled dogs as he does for his. Therefore we support Lance on his road to recovery and wish him all the best for the future.
